Nice job, Tom! Looks like an OEM product, which is supposed to be a compliment.. the cycle time is fairly quick, but not too fast either. Nice balance between speed and precision. You used a 3" cylinder, right? I think your hydraulic flow must be somewhere close to my Kubota, the cylinder movement speed is about the same or slightly quicker.

Sean
Thanks Sean.
Yes 3" cylinder and the stroke is 12".
The rpm's were about 2000 in the video. Cranked up to 3000 the blade moves slightly quicker.
Not having to get off the tractor to adjust is very nice.
Have a great weekend

I used a 3 x 10 cylinder on mine and I get a bit less angle than you did, if you need snow to try it out I can let you have some free of charge! Mine'll get some use tomorrow when it warms up and the wind goes down.

Nice work, Tom!

Thanks.
The grass blades are still showing thru the snow.
Any unwanted snow woud be great.
Have a great weekend guys.

Real nice, I'm eyeballing ideas for a similar build with a landscape rake. I really like how you are able to keep the ability to turn the bade around and also use it manually if needed.

Outstanding!

This is the inspiration for my project as i just bought all the parts. However i don't have the Tools to machine the pieces as well as you do so it will be a "lesser" version for sure. Great Job!!

I’m looking at doing something like this to my landscape rake over the winter. I’ll also be doing a cylinder for offset too.

I built a scraper blade with hydraulic offset, you'll never know how you lived without it once you've used it! The angle adjustment is manual at this point, but that will be changing soon. Ditto the hydraulic top link. Then to power the side to side tilt, but durn it, out of remotes to plug everything into. Need to add another selector valve, then maybe..
