5 foot about 420 lbs and built like a tank I will post some working pictures tonite they sell they from 4 foot to I think 8-9 and they had some serious landscape rakes with a lot of user friendly options on them .I plan on getting a 5 footer tomorrow I should have just bought it yesterday and not made 2 trips ! nice people to deal with friendly and really know their stuff I talked to the shop guys for a few minutes after loading and they told me the father son team builds REAL quality attachments . these are attachments built by REAL farmers not a bunch of guys in dockers and sperry topsider shoes !

Nice box blade congrats!

Those gussets are useless IMO!

Maybe the REAL farmers should learn how to weld...

I don't think the county line one looks bad at all. A tinker toy does not weigh 440#. I have seen them abused bad and not hurt them at all, like someone said how much is too much? And he is right, those big gussets are useless.

Well , It's just my opinion and I dont like the single straps/bolts for the top link nor the way they attach the front with the hitch pins and any added gussets can just be a benefit to anything ,personally I would rather give my money to the local guys and not some big box store !

Grumpy, I think you made a wise purchase, for the reasons that you have given. You don't have to defend yourself. Pictures don't do justice to judging something. You looked it over, you have it in the bed of your truck. The money for the blade came out of no other wallets but yours, so your opinion is what matters.

Interstate also has them on eBay. $500 & a better photo

5' Standard Box Blade Scraper | eBay

One hesitant item offhand it the use of plate for the "A" frame 3 PH attachment. I had a tiller with that arrangement and it lasted one season before it was bent beyond repair. The plate was replaced with heavy steel flat stock and it still working to this day.

The outside bars on the lift arm attachment point also look a bit light and may bend easier than desirable. But the square tubing between the lift pins is a nice touch.

The "heavy duty" box scraper looks a lot like the standard duty. Maybe it is just a stock photo on their eBay site.

Attachments are always a kick start to getting jobs done so it will likely be an excellent addition to your equipment stash. Just keep an eye on the weak points. However, it may never be an issue...just thinking out loud.

While solid flat plate looks massive and strong, it is easier to bend that hitches made with heavy angle iron. The box blade looks like it will handle a lot of work and get the job done when straight pulling, but you need to avoid sideways loading on it as it will likely bent that top link frame. The price seems reasonable and the design is as good as many others. It seems most equipment has their good points and bad points and none seem to get it all right.
Congratulations on your addition and hope you have many fond memories of using it. Mine has been setting under a tree for over a year and I dont have any plans for next year either. I got a lot of use the first year but then all my projects got caught up.

I agree with buying local when you can and if you are happy with your new boxblade that is what matters.
I would be leary though condemming the other manufacturers as you started out in this thread, while you have a nice boxblade there are other brands with good and better designs out there. I think you have to budget how you spend your money and try to get the best bang for the buck. I prefer the industrial Gannon line but it is more costly and I need one for heavy work that I do.
