Are all post hole augers created equal?

Just keep in mind that almost always when purchasing NEW IMPLEMENTS that you get what you pay for. Not saying that what you are looking at is good or bad. Everything has it's place and purpose.

You get what you pay for says a lot but you don't always get more just because you pay more. In many cases, you pay more because of the chain of events an attachment goes through before it reaches the end user. Usually, an attachment is produced by the manufacturer, then sold to a distributor, then to a dealer and finally sold to the end user. That food chain is something that can inflate the price and will not necessarily inflate the quality. Many of the high end name brands are now offering a lower end product, at a lower price, that is drastically lower in quality than their more expensive line so be careful there.
Our Everything Attachments post hole diggers, made in house, are offered to you by the manufacturer so the food chain is much shorter and the quality is high.
We offer five different models so we can provide a digger for any Category 1 or 2 tractor including subcompacts. We use a class 4 drive shaft on all of our post hole diggers which is a weak link on many other diggers on the market. Our augers also feature replaceable cutting teeth and tips.
If you do the research, I think you'll find that you will get more for your money with an EA post hole digger. To top it off, our diggers SHIP FREE TO YOUR HOME within 1,000 miles of Newton, NC.(except for the 7500 Cat2 that will ship free to a business or freight terminal) If you're outside 1,000 miles, shipping is generally very reasonable.

I wasn't trying to degrade your point, only elaborate. We do offer products from other manufacturers but, like I said, if you do the research, you will get the best value with our post hole diggers.

I use a Befco PHD, 9" auger , it's more expensive than TSC's, but it does 50 to 400 holes a year. In clay, and good ole top soil. Looking to make a down force cylinder for it. Dealer want's $450 to $500 for Befco's add on kit. I do like the idea of a hydralic auger but it's to pricey for me. Good luck in your choice.:thumbsup:

I have a Shaver 3pt unit with a 12" and 24" auger. Have probably done about 800 holes with it for fence posts (using the 12") and 200 holes for trees (using the 24"), and it is still going strong despite having been put through every imaginable torture over the last 15 years!

I have very rocky soil here in central VA, and after years of having a helper or two hanging off the gear box via a tamping bar, I finally got a hydraulic down force kit last year. What a difference!

I read your post and skipped the rest. i bought a OLD 3 point PH digger for 100.00, actually had to cut 3 trees to get it out. Ended up putting new driveshaft and bought a 9 and 12" auger for it. Last 3 yrs have drilled 3-400 holes with it. Just drilled 50 plus holes with it since the first of the yr. i am drilling in hard so. tx dirt, kind you drill till it bind up, kill the pto lift hit the pto, go back drill to you get deep enough, then go back pour in 5 gallons of water each hole , go back hit with PH digger it up and clean it out. Its no Danuser, its a cheapo. Dont be fooled into thinking you have to have the top of the line digger. they all work the same, I have sheared 5 bolts since I got mine, and thats in hard dirt

The quality is absolutely as good. The Danuser is rated to a 24" auger and offers an optional down force kit so it's not really an apples to apples comparison. We will offer a heavier post hole digger in the near future that will be rated up to a 24" auger. It will still be close to half the price.

I am not here trying to say that other products on the market are inferior or start any brand wars; I am here advertising our attachments and informing people of the value they provide.
