YSS-60
I have a YSS-60 Yanmar Snowblower and need a new worm gear on the PTO and the auger gear but am having absolutely no luck finding parts. Anyone have a suggestion on where to start? Also, does anyone have a manual for one of these with part numbers? I am going off the numbers stamped on the gears but maybe they are listed differently in the manual???

Thanks!
Brad

Brad, I also have a Yanmar YSS-60 3pt snowblower and the PTO drive shaft where it attaches to the snowblower came apart yesterday morning while snowblowing. Any luck finding a place to get replacement parts?

BAHunter, I emailed Yanmar America and have a lead on a place where I might be able to get some parts. Once I hear back and if the lead it good I'll pass it along. If this place doesn't have parts, I think we may be up the creek.

BA:

I heard from Yanmar of NA and they suggested I contact Martin Diesel in Ohio. I emailed their parts department and learned the YSS-60 is a very old model. My unit has a serial number of 185. The unit was originally manufacteruerd by Schulte which is a Canadian company. Some parts might be able to obtained from Martin Diesel. I've been emailing with a guy named Mark at Martin. The parts department email is parts@martindiesel.com. So far Mark has been great to work with and has been very responsive. I jsut sent him some photos of my problem to see if the needed parts are available. If they are not, I would likely be willing to sell you my unit for parts very cheap. I bought a new tractor this fall and I'm working on getting price quotes on a 72" 3pt blower as we speak. The blower worked well but I inadvertently powered up the RPMS on the PTO when the yoke connection broke. The connector on the snow blower is still intact. I've attached photos of the what I sent to Mark so you knew exactly what my problem was. My unit doesn't seem to have been used very much as the prior owner had another snow blower that he took with him and the much larger tractor he used to maintain the property.

Just ordered the part I needed to fix the yolk. Mark and Phil at Martin Diesel were great. Mark said they are only certified parts dealer for Yanmar snow blowers so you might want to give them a call toll Free @ (866) 868 - 9911. They are in Defiance Ohio which is close to the Michigan border.

I'm glad you found your part. I'm curious, was there something unique about the yolk that you had to find a Yanmar dealer? Couldn't any driveline shop have got you running again? Not trying to be smart, just trying to learn something.

I looked on line but couldn't find the right size cross joint. Perhaps it was an odd size. Moreover, with Mark at Martin Diesel helping me out I wouldn't have felt right going somewhere else.

Was back in the Lehigh valley last fall and caught up with some HS friends who now live in the lehigh/Lancaster county area. The only thing I saw different were a few more houses and the new Bass Pro store.

Hi, I am a new member that just bought a YSS-60 snowblower attachment and have the same problems you stated. I am looking for a manual to identify missing parts. Can you help?
