pallet forks add a grapple

Saw a grapple that slides onto a set of pallet forks this weekend and was wondering if this arrangement would be a good way of moving brush. Don't own pallet forks but imagine them being handy. Can buy the grapple and pallet forks for around $1400. My question is would this be to much of a compromise for cleaning downed trees and brush or would I still be better off getting a dedicated grapple and then later on a set of pallet forks?

JMO, Grapple on a pallet fork would OK for picking up the longer stuff but anything shorter than the fork spacing is going to fall off, either inbetween or off the outside of the forks.

I'm thinking of using a FEL thumb grapple Shop Online and pallet forks. If I start picking up a lot of small stuff I could always add another pair of pallet forks.

I've moved a lot of pine limbs and 12-24 (diameter) inch logs with just clamp on forks on my B2620. IN fact, I just came in from moving a 40 foot pine to the burn pile. For me,there is a $$ limit to the long term usage of attachments. I suppose a dedicated Grapple might work better depending on the actual situation. My bucket and forks are paid for and work fine for me. Having never used a Grapple, I wonder how much one has to get out of the tractor seat anyway. I hand load the limbs as a rule and transport them to the burn pile. Most of the logs can be picked off the ground from the seat. I don't know what would work with trashy small brush. BTW, the clamp on pallet forks (Bucket Solutions) are handy for many things and convenient to attach Hope this helps.

Got a chance to look at the pallet fork slide on grapple again and even thought it had two positions for the forks to slid into the outside position would only allow the forks to be less than 3 ft apart, to me it would be better if the forks could be further out making the load less tipsy side to side. The tractor I have is skidsteer compatable so changing out attachments is no hassle. I am probably going to keep looking at a true brush grapple
