That's ridiculous!!! Why would a bolt cost that much. I have a hardware manufacturer close by. I take bolts there all the time. They will match anything with low cost. No more than ten dollars... Just remember to tell them what it's for....

I'm not exactly sure why it cost so much. It is a very large bolt (1" diameter and 3" long with a 1 5/8" nut) and it's specially made for the brush cutter. It has a specific flange and shoulder to mate with the blades and the blade carrier. The bolt also includes a pin that you have to hammer into the side of the bolt that fits into a keyway to keep the bolt from rotating. It might have also cost more because my brush cutter is so old and that bolt isn't used on the newer models.Quote:
