Grapple connection problem

I've never had anything hooked up to them, but I thought I pushed/pulled them . But now I'm se one guessing myself.

Not sure if this helps but when I first removed and then later tried to re-install my grapple, I couldn't get the fittings to connect, even though I was sure I had relieved the pressure on the tractor side. Come to find out, the pressure in the grapple lines was preventing them from connecting. Just sitting in the sun apparently increased the pressure in the grapple lines. I had to tap the center of the grapple fittings to release a little pressure and then they connected easily.
