Ag-Meier Brave
I bought an Ag-Meier Brave brush cutter yesterday. It was pricey compared to some others so I hope it's worth the extra money. Anyone here have one? The dealer is one of my accounts so you know it was one of those deals based on loyalty rather than value. It's only a 4' but that's what I need to get in between many trees, roadside and to back into tight spots. I have mostly holly and other woody brush to cut. I might add a clutch since I've already got one.

Re: Ag-Meier Brave
I have a 5 foot Brave I pull with my L3700. It has been a workhorse and eats through thickets like I do chocolate, but with fewer side effects. Mine was thrown into a package deal, so I cant address the $ cost compared to other cutters. I have a shear pin rather than a clutch and have only had to replace one shear pin since I bought it and that was a freak incident backing over a large clump of cut grass that balled up under the deck. I have cut down groups of dozens of closely growing 1-3" saplings without trouble and even accidently a 4" treeling hidden in the the mass of smaller saplings one time. I didnt break anything, but I would not recommend that on purpose.

Re: Ag-Meier Brave
Good to hear. My biggest worry is rocks. Big rocks. I had the dealer set the blade height at 8" to start. I can always lower it after I have all the big rocks picked up.
