O... The reason that I ask is that I have a chance to buy a Kubota L4310 at a good price and I'm basically back to my original question of "how much tractor do I need"-- but with a dozer thrown into the mix.
I would still stick with a larger tractor. I have the identical tractor to the 4310 but it's 4 more hp or so at the PTO. I have done a lot of land clearing/slash cleanup with my tractor and grapple combo. I can't say I regret buying a tractor this small, because I have learned a LOT using this tractor, and it's done a lot of work, but I can say that I need a bigger tractor. (need may not be the right word?) As soon as finances allow, I will be selling mine towards a larger tractor. I have the Case 75C in my sights for my next tractor and I'm saving for it at this time.
Also, I'm dealing with a lot less acreage than you are. Almost any size tractor will be able to do the work, it's more a function of how fast and how efficiently you want it done. Even a small BX or something can do a lot, just a little at a time.
