3 point scissor lift

I was looking through the new Valu Bilt catalog this weekend (yep, a dangerious thing to do) and saw an attachment called a scissor lift for a 3PH on page 315. According to the short description, this is to increase the lift height of the hitch to double stack round bails, etc.
For the life of me, I can't see how this thing attaches to the tractor and then to the implement. Has anyone here used one of these things? I'm certain I could find a use for this if it works as advertised.

Ralph the high lifts like that take the place of the third arm. When you raise the lift arms the boom pivot raises the lift 3 times higher. THey workd good with a bale spear and a cylinder to til the spear down, some have paralell links that keep the load level the whole time. Most come with the spear but a few come to attach to any 3point tool. I have made a few like that one of my friends has one he puts his boom pole on, and he sw my 3 point looader and then put his scoop on it. I built one for my neighbors Jubilee and can ift the bootom of the bucket 66 inches, I built it and the bucket as a loader only but i have a frien with forks on his., I build mine mostly tripp buckets for older tractors.
Now the last few i built just mount like a 3 point hitch and have a hydraulic lift boom and bucket.

If it increases the lift height via mechanical advantage, surely there must be a decrease in load capacity?

You are correct Gary--If you are moving 1500 pound + rolls of hay? You will need a Minimum of 65 HP tractor (bigger is better). As it goes thru the scissor action, the weight is shifted to the rear about 14 additional inches, This does create a front end stability problem on smaller tractors and most lift systems will stall at that point on smaller tractors (under 50 HP)--With that said, a 40 HP tractor and 800 pound roll hay works just fine--We use this device on our farm to feed 1000 roll of hay annually--The hyd cyl is not really needed for stacking or loading. If you are going to slide off the roll into the hayring, while feeding, then you will need the cylender--Ken Sweet

Hey heehaw, or anyone else, I am looking for the attachment you guys are talking about. I am looking to buy one but could only find one for $459 (that does include shipping). I can't find any on craigslist or ebay can you tell me where I might find one cheaper?
