Front End Loader fro JD 5503

I am currently in Africa with a friend of mine who has a 4wd John Deere 5503. It seems this must be one for markets outside of the USA, but cannot find anything definitive on that.

He wants to install a front end loader on it, so I will be looking for one. Does anyone happen to know which loader will fit this tractor?

JDparts was down when I checked, but did find JD made a European version and a Turkey version of the 5503.
You need to find out if it's MFWD. Certain loaders will not clear the larger front tires on MFWD and only work on 2wd.
I will assume that the JD5xx series loaders will work. You did not say if he wants new or used. That will make a difference.
With JDparts down at this time I was unable to check what model mounting frames are offered for various loader models.

Thanks much for the reply. At this point new or used is not an issue-I will just have to see what I can find and then look at the location, cost, etc. Although I do not know for sure, I believe that it is MFWD as it is a pretty late model-I think only about a year old. He actually purchased it in Souh Africa, so I am guessing it is the European Version or something similar. As well, I am guessing that the 5XXX series tractors are the same, but no direct knowledge.

I am thinking I might have him call the dealer he bought if from and see if they would be willing to tell him what loader model it uses.

By the way, thank for the help with my loader issue. I found one about 40 miles from my home in Missouri, and while I am here in Africa, they installed it for me, and I did not even have to buy new mounting frames. We thought we would have to get new ones as my tractor was a bit different than the one the loader came off of. But they sent me an e-mail telling me the tractor was ready and everything bolted up. That was a few less dollars I had to spend, so I am in this loader for just a few dollars over 3000. I believe I got a really good deal. Thanks for the help!

Because the 5503 is not a North American tractor it is not listed for different loaders, but 5403 and 5603 tractors are listed, so I would think loaders that fit these tractors will also fit your friends 5503. I would check into John Deere 522, 542, and 553 loaders.
