Decided to relocate my garden spot closer to my house. The new location would more easily allow for irrigation and fencing if I choose to do so. Approximately 85% of the new spot is in new ground. Found plow shown in attachments under barn. Was my late grandfather's and hasn't been used in years. Greased the only moving part, the zerk actually took grease, and hitched up to my 5303 and turned some dirt. First time I can recall using this implement but it seems to be the right tool for turning up new ground. When I searched for info on this plow the only thing that came up was one similar that was a 2 bottom that had been purchased around 1950. Wouldn't surprise me if this one is that old too.

Surprised me how well it performed. It put a pretty good load on the 5303. I had it set to run as deep as it would. After adjusting the draft control it seemed to"lighten" up some. I figured if I put it on here someone would recognize it. Got me thinking about restoring it now. Seems initially to only need some paint work.

They do preform real good. I find going about 3-5mph 6 inches deep gives the best results. I have restored mine.

Mine has the sod-bottoms on it so it is more suited for plowing sod and low laying crops but it works fine with corn stalks and over grown grasses. I see yours don't have the coulter wheels on it. They make a amazing difference on how it pulls.
