Case 580c
I just bought a 580c case backhoe about a month ago. The front bucket is trashed. It is fixable but needs a LOT of man hours to get it any where to be able to do a productive job.
I posted a add on cragslist for a new (used) bucket and a guy that owns a Case 580 CK and he claims he was told that it was a Model 32. What ever a model 32 is????? But will his bucket fit on my 1979 580C???? I asked him to give me the pin to pin measurements

Model 32 would be the model of the loader. I tried to check on Case Construction to see if it is used on both models, but the site is down for upgrading. Not sure how long it will be down...

If you need a quick answer, I'd suggest calling your nearest Case Construction Eq. dealer, and ask the parts man, they should know, or get you an answer pretty quick. A good parts person with some years under their belt should be able to tell you pretty quick. Back it up with measurements, to be sure...

Case Model CK stands for Construction King. Most Case backhoes are designated overlall as CK, however the letter designation c, l, m. etc. actually denote what model the unit is. Your 580C has a model 35 back hoe, the modle 32 was used on the older models, based an a farm tractor. I'm not sure about the loader, but my neighbor has one of the old CK's and I have a C. The loader and the backhoe are entirely different, and I'm sure nothine will interchange.
