Nice work Brandi. I will suggest that you protect the valve stems on those tires. Large clumps of dirt coming off the disk gang like to rip off valve stems. Btdt

The tires she has on there would probably run without air. You would not believe how thick those sidewalls are and stiff...

Gotta go back to work tonight. I got up early this afternoon and pulled the disc outside. I wanted to see if it would hitch on front of the tractor. It does and that allows me to hook up hydraulics from my grapple diverter valve. This allows me to move the disc around while the BH is installed.

I am going to buy a longer pin for hitching in front. Long enough to go through both upper and lower bracket on my tractor's hitch up front. With a longer pin, do Y'all think the front hitch mount is strong enough to push the disc up my dual tandem trailer ramps and dovetail to load? I mean, it is way easier to load connected this way. This way it moves like an aircraft being pushed with a tug.4-2-13 Disc Tractor Front Detail.jpg Oh yeah.......I noticed the other day my grill bottom, seen in the photo, has a huge dent in it. Must have happened running the grapple and a stray limb attacked it.

Oh, I'm not feeling left out at all. While my lawn tractor might be GREEN, my tractor is ORANGE. Color doesn't matter much to me, I think most any tractor is pretty good! Maybe excepting the "VietNam rebuilds" and some of the Chinese.

Thanks BR,
I realized while painting the wheels that the stems are rubber. At least they should be steel. I'll either have to live with it, or take it somewhere they can remove the tire. I don't think tire shops want to put thick beaded aircraft tires on their mount machines. But I could ask. I would have to wait where I bought the tires, an hour after work for them to open, to have them do it.

I had one 3 inch pipe nipple welded to the rear rim of my old Ford 3055 (photo above) when I had a flat. Never got the chance to install the other rear valve stem nipple!

That would be great using aircraft tires. Heavy duty and tuff. Hate to think of how many worn a/c tires i leaned against that were being used for the jetways....:D Nice paint job. I was midnite painter for 2 yrs in PIT. Then bid
Ld. Mech and got it for 3 yrs til I retired...

Thanks Tom. Where you with US Airways? I had a layover in PIT once. It was winter and raining. Real dreary looking. I'm more familiar with Phlliy's airport. While working TDY in ACY, (we were there flying casino junkets ) us mechanics made numerous trips to Philly to pick up parts shipments..........and replacement mechanics!

I think this true. Especially with the duals. Funny thing..........the sidewalls do not have any max psi printed in them. They do say...............Not for flight. These are recaps.

Brandi, it's easy to see you've spared no detail and that disc is gonna 'fly'. Your professionalism shines through on the details of every job you do. Your dad would be bustin' with pride if he could see what you are doing. He's up in Heaven sayin', "That's my gal!"
