MJ, since we got 4-5 inches out in Elbert county, I can't say much about the weather guessers today. They're predicting more snow Saturday night so I get a second chance to try out my new rear blade. I had signed up at the freight company's website to get a text when the unit arrived at the depot and picked it up Wednesday morning before work and actually attached it to my Kioti tractor in the snow last night. Beyond some paint scrapes during shipping the unit arrived in tact. The only problem I've encountered is the holes for the offsetting the rear blade are just a hair off and I need to do a little drilling. I used the rear blade to plow the snow this morning and took off one of the end caps. If I could have set the blade slightly offset, I would have been done plowing in about 30 minutes less time. I just need to buy a drill bit to drill out the minimal overlap so the set pin will drop into place. I have to go into town to buy the drill bit and I've got an email into Chris S at everything attachment to make sure my drilling out the overlap isn't going to cause a problem. The entire unit is heavy duty and I've already got several projects planned this spring where I can take full advantage of this new tool.

Glad to hear the blade worked. We only got about a couple inches in northwest Adams County.

Headed to an auction tomorrow down in Peyton. There is a JD 3pt snowblower available and I'm hoping its at least 72" wide. It also has hydraulics so I"m excited. Just need to get home before it starts snowinging Saturday night as we in a blizzard warning for Saturday night into Sunday.

That's a nice attachment! I also just bought an 84 inch blade (landpride) but haven't had a chance to use it yet. Darn Oregon rain. Did you get any hydraulic tilt/angle/swing cylinders?

I got all the hydraulics on my blade..... best thing I ever did!

Kioti RX6010.jpggreat looking unit. What's the most snow you've been able to plow with your rear blade?

The most I've had to do so far was 12" deep. No problem.

Greg, thanks for the info. I think my blade should be able to do that much as well.

Did you get much snow in Kiowa? Other than cold and windy, we didn't get all that much snow in the Brighton area.

Not knowing the set-up, I would have used the angle, and dropped a smaller diameter bolt to pin the blade in place. Just to get the first run on it. This should be a nice purchase given your intended use and location.

We got 5+ inches of snow but the biggest problem was the wind and blowing snow. Worked at home today after plowing for over 2 hrs. continued to use my new rear blade and with each useage I'm getting better at moving larger and larger amounts of snow. I'm very happy with the product and expect to have it for years. I also plan on buying again from everything attachments as they have been great to work with.
