Re: Help me pick a toothbar!
Where we are in upstate NY, there are 3 large gravel and/or rock quarries within spitting distance of home, and on our land, no matter where we dig, we find an unpredictable mixture of sandstone, granite, shale, and obviously glaciated rocks of all sizes from pebbles to small truck sized.
Since our pond excavation last year, [those mini-ex/trackhoes really ARE as fun to operate as everybody says] we have extended an open invitation to any and all friends and family near and distant to come and take any rocks they want for thier own landscaping purposes.
So far, the farthest [?furthest] our rocks have migrated is Bradenton Florida, as my M-I-L's S-I-L took some to break up the monotony of the flat landscape at their winter home there.
While we have plans to use some of the [smaller] big ones to edge our pond, and some of the flatter ones as pavers for walkways and paths, we have no where near as many places to use them as we have rocks....
