60" CULTIPACKER from EVERYTHING ATTACHMENTS / PHOTOS
Photo #1 Yellow Freight delivered 60" Cultipacker from Everything Attachments, Newton, N.C., during early January 2013.
Photo #2 Cultipacker on pallet in my driveway. Bill of Lading shows shipping weight of 722 pounds, which includes the pallet.
Well, Jeffrey, age 65, how are you going to get that 700 pound chunk of iron and steel upright, safely?
It turned out to be easy. I reversed the Cultipacker black stands from shipping position to upright support position and tightend nuts/bolts.
Moved B3300SU tractor/loader to far side of pallet, bucket forward. Attached one 5/16" chain via slip hook to each clevis/hitch on Cultipacker, then other end to grab hooks on bucket and reversed in LOW. Cultipacker rolled upright onto its stands easily. I wish I had a picture......
Photo #3 Secondary soil preparation with 60" King Kutter Rotary Harrow. [ from Everything Attachments ]
Photo #4 ALTERNATIVE LAWN WILDFLOWER MIX from Hancock Seed, Dade City, Florida.
Photo #5 *** Rolling! *** Cultipacker is specialized tool used to roll in fine seed. Note corrugated pattern in soil. In my sandy-loam soil smooth wheels perfect.
Photo #6 Beauty shot. Cultipacker stable resting on wide-footed stands.
CONSTRUCTIVE CRITCISMS
Delivered cost of ETA Cultipacker: $1,338.75
Photo #7 The pillar block bearing housings are blue. Why were housings not painted yellow?
The stands are black. On ETA's web site the stands are yellow. Stands on Cultipacker displayed at Sunbelt Ag Expo were yellow.
If ETA is committed to marketing via e-commerce, product the customer receives must be EXACTLY as depicted on the web site.
ETA should have provided a flat washer under each nut (4) on the stands. I added four flat washers from local Ace Hardware.
Visible section of axles arrived with surface rust. Axle ends should be sprayed with Fluid Film or another rust preventative after assembly. I do not like rust on a NEW piece of equipment.
Photo #8 - #9 - #10 Arrived with paint chips on mast; primer coat not evident. Steel pallet strap abrsions on main frame. Frame should have been padded.
I have been using my Wallenstein BX42 PTO chipper for a year. Stuffed tons of limbs in to be chipped. The paint remains flawless. [ Of all my implements Wallenstein has the best paint; it shipped from factory in Canada. ]
Photo #10 Thick steel, nice welds; BRAVO!
Photo #11 Serial number for ETA.
Psychology teaches anticipation is 50% of satisfaction.
You save your money. You research your implement on T-B-N. You attend Suncoast Ag Expo in Georgia to see all ETA attachments; display implements are perfect. You order. You eagerly anticipate arrival.......there are cosmetic shortcomings to your prize and your satisfaction balloon deflates.
Final note: Nothing wrong with ETA Cultipacker materially or functionally. LOVELY WELDS.

I don't sweat the small stuff - nothing a rattle can can't fix in 5 to 10 minutes. These items are heavy duty to work the dirt, not for show.

I like the ETA 3 pt cultipacker, my cultipacker is not a 3 point. The 3 point hitch makes it easier to maneuver especially in tighter spots like that.
Nice rotary harrow by the way....:D

Just a note about the chipping paint . If " Anyone " Has stood on the dock of " Any " Freight Company , ( Insert Name , be it Yellow , Reddaway , Oak Harbor , Fed Ex, , etc... ) , What could be perfect in leaving the Factory , May NOT be so perfect upon it's arrival . Been There , Done That . The only way to prevent , Actually should say " Lessen " , the chances of shipping damage , is to have skid Larger than item by at least 10" to 12" on all sides plus on top . Problem with top protection is if it has a frame , then someone " WILL " stack stuff on top of it , Even with Warnings painted on frame to Not stack stuff on top . Several Years ago , MIL ordered new pellet stove , Came in Box and crated also . Warnings on box and crate stated to stack No freight on top of Skid / Crate / Carton . When I went to pick up at terminal , Was standing next to skid , reading warnings on crate , watching hyster unstack crap off top of crate !:confused3:
Made Dock Worker and Supervisor write on Shipping manifest that this occured , thus if there was damage upon opening , they were go to eat it . They were not happy about it , but I simply said it was either that or I was calling stove company and refusing it on the dock and Why .

P.S. Nice cultipacker , Also Wish mine was a 3 point .

I suppose if a guy wants perfect paint....then they could bill you for inside storage and a crating charge. Maybe another $500 to the price would change your mind about a few paint flaws. To me, it's all about function - within limits.
