I live in Queensland, Australia and am trying to get a tooth bar for my 5ft fel on my Kioti ds3510. If someone can tell me where I can get one it would be appreciated. I tried to get one shipped from the US but the shipping costs are ridiculous. I am prepared to weld some teeth on if I can get them reasonably but would prefer to get a bar I can remove as necessary. Hopefully some one locally will know if it is available.
Thanks, Geoff

How are things in Australia? I dont know about where to buy one down there. I dont know how local any dealers are where you are located, but any tractor dealership should be able to help you out. If you build one, there are several good threads in the build it yourself section of the forum. By the way, your country is the only one overseas that I hope to visit someday. LUTT

I take it by a tooth bar you mean a removeable bucket lip with teeth on your FEL - any half decent local enginnering/welding or trailer/truck shop should be able to make one up out of Bisalloy offcuts fairly cheap, I'd suggest making it to fit bolt on teeth if you're using it constantly in an abasive application (longer term bolt on changes are easier to manage.
Alternatively if you want a "factory" type accessory try one of the local FEL manufactures like Challenge ..etc, for a c.35hp tractor bucket "teeth" suitable for a small bobcat from Bradken or Hensley (source via Komatsu branches) are pricey if durable options that will most likely outlive your tractor.

Ended up giving up, I will make my own. Its a pity the Piranha is not sold here as that looks ideal. I have a 6"x5/8" flat steel bar I'll play with. From what I can see the teeth and adaptors over here are about double the price of America. Must be the price of life in heaven.

Too funny, especially when we're in the middle of a winter storm that has had snow falling steadily since we awakened today!

Goodluck, and if you need any reference measurements or photos, let me know.

We have a pirhana toothbar on our Kubota B2320 and love it.

G'day,
Thomas

I'd appreciate the measurements/sketch/photo of the brackets that hold it on to the bucket. I was going to take a guess but some info would be appreciated, Re the snow, my partner was in her 40s before she saw it for the first time, had to travel over 2000 miles to see it. She didn't suggest we move.:)

Will do ASAP- as soon as I get a day off, and can afford to take the pallet forks off for a minute, I'll get some pictures with size references for you.

[Gotta get the firewood in first or my domestic supervisor won't be too pleased....]

Do they have to be metric?

Maybe if you email Harry at BXpanded, he'll sell you the Oz franchise and the blueprints?:confused3:

Take care,
Thomas

That would be appreciated. Metric or imperial will be ok.
I am retired which means I'm doing what I like and business is not that. Pity he hasn't sold the franchise to someone here, he'd make a fortune as everything here costs x2 the US. I think I've got the bar itself worked out but am having trouble with the brackets. One thing I need to know is how much gap is there between the side brackets ( the bracket with the bolt) and the side of the bucket. I was going to leave 3mm or1/8" either side to make sliding it on easier. Advice on that would be appreciated.
Love this site, have ideas for lots of things I didn't know I needed.

W.L. Long Co. makes custom toothbars and they leave about 3/16 to a 1/4" space on each side.
