    Default Power trailer

Looking at a older power trailer Is there anyway to know if the power trailer will move at the same speed as the tractor. Not sure what happens with the PTO hook up when the tractor speed is faster.
I have 2 speeds on the pto.

When I was a kid in rural New Brunswick it seemed everyone who had a bit of wood land owned an N series Ford tractor & a power trailer - single axel, dual wheels, built from the frame of a truck & used the original trans. from the truck. With the right combo of 540 RPM pto speed, tractor transmission, trailer transmission & sometimes trailer tire size they worked good getting 4' pulp wood out to where a truck could pick it up & take it to the mill.

I have never own or work with one. But one of my friend have one, and no, it is not going as fast as the tractor, bit he is only using the power on the trailer when almost stock. So when it s either real muddy or snowy and it drag a bit but it dosen t get stuck.
