International 460 Utility
I acquired an international 460 utility last summer, it had a McCormick loader on it some time ago, the previous owner had taken it off. He's giving the loader to me for free, its going to need quite a bit of work. Right now its on the ground, in the snow. I couldn't find any distinguishable markings to tell what model it was, all I could find was a very faded "McCormick" label on the lift arms.

Is there some place I could browse through pictures of loaders ( I didn't have any luck with google images) to figure out what model it is? Digital copy of an old catalog maybe? Or if someone knows specific locations of where the serial numbers might be I could focus my search.

Thanks.

Try a Google image search for an "IH 2000 loader". That's what should have been used on the 460. I have one on my 656.

I'll check tomorrow to see if I can get a picture... the snow is melting pretty good today. I don't think its a IH 2000. Thats what I thought it was at first... the main part of the lift arms look similar. But the have two diagonal (tubular) cross pieces between the lift arms in the front (if memory serves me correct). And apparently it requires a big heavy frame for the loader to actually be mounted to. The frame looks like something I've never seen before. Maybe that part of its a custom job. I'll post pictures asap.

Got some pictures today. Just of the lift arms. They aren't great pictures... the one with "McCormick" printed on the side actually is that difficult to read.

Doubt this will help, but here are some pics of a model 2000. At least maybe it will tell you what it isn't... And maybe the one picture will give you an idea where the monting brackets go, if it has been painted over, and not reall sure where they do go.

I tried searching CASE/IH parts for several different model loaders, and nothing would come up. Even just searching for "loader".

You might try going here, Red Power Magazine Community and post your pics, surely someone will recognize what it is...

Ah ha! The plot thickens. I was paging though the tractors IT manual (that the previous owner gave me) and it had a hand written note inside the cover: "#50 loader". So I googled McCormick #50 loader and found one.... sort of.... its a toy 460 with the loader on it! I have to get going, I'll search more tonight, but if anyone knows anything about the #50, chime in!

Yup, confirmed. McCormick No. 50 Power loader. I found a manual on ebay. I think I'm all set. I'll post pictures when I get it back to the house.
