I picked this up a couple of years ago, don't really know who made it or model, I think it's John deere but not sure? Anybody got any ideas?

Re: Middle buster
Have NO idea where it came from or who made it.......... However.....
It appears to me that it has some kind of a spring loaded break away shock system of some kind.
Possibly was made to use in a gang type implement. With multiple of these diggers.
I would invent some sort of 3pt frame adapter to bolt it to and get it dirty..........
Good luck

Re: Middle buster
Not a clue actually. It doesn't look like it was meant for a 3PH. Maybe a mid mount on a Farmall cub or the like. Might be one of a pair to cultivate both sides of a row. Is that a spring trip mechanism?

With a lot of research I think I found what this is, it's a John deere 442 bedder/middle breaker mounts on the front or back of a John Deere MT

Re: Middle buster
That is what it looks like to me is a piece off of some other implement..... like the cultivator shank with a big duckfoot shoe that went in the middle of the front/rear gangs on old IH disc that we had years ago
790 JD W/ 300 loader
Lots of implements for loader and 3pt
Can't do it burn'n diesel, is not worth do'n
