How do i determine 3 point top link length i need?
Bought a tractor and it is missing the top link for the 3 point. I am wanting to pick one up but i am not sure how to determine the length i need. Thanks

What kind of tractor? Cat 1 or cat 2 hitch?

Probably either 20" or 24" body top link. I'm thinking 20 " will adjust 24 to 36".

Raise your hitch so that the draft arms are parallel with the ground. Now measure from the top link pin on the tractor out to where you are out as far as the pins on the draft arms. Have the tape measure parallel with the arms. This will get you what should be your true mid stroke length. Then go find a top link that is close to that measurement when it is at it's mid way adjustment. There should be an extended and retracted measurement available when you are shopping. Get one that matches your measurement when you figure the new top links mid adjustment length.
