Turned up an old but good shape 2 bottom case eagle hitch plow. Looking and measuring the 'eagle hitch' over and up, pretty sure I can make it a normal cat 1 set up fairly easy.

There is CX16 stamped on the back of the plow, and thats it for any identification I can find anywhere. Colors whats left, are green on the hitch stuffs and orange or prolly case "flambeau red" on the plow stuffs I did not measure the shares but they do look to be 16" long.

There is no Coulters, but it dose have a steel tail wheel that spins as if you had just put new bearings in it.

Anybody know wheres about getting new shares or maybe some info for such such a thing?

I'm a feared that 2 16" plows could be to much for the 790....can unbolt the rear moldboard and run just one if that turns out to be an issue, not that I want too:D

2-16's is going to be a lot for a compact.

A single 16 will work it well.

Before you invest too much time into it I would confirm you can get shares etc. I was going to retrofit an old IH Little Wonder plow, but about all you can find is partically worn used shares for about $100 each.

I'd like to see a picture of it. I have an old two bottom plow which I got with a used 880 David Brown years ago and need to ID it to find wear parts and a replacement coulter. Yours might be a match to mine but mine is just a standard cat I hitch.

Thanks for the replies fellas!

I did measure it between frames and according to those measurements it is a 2-16 plow, That would be alot for my 790 to pull.

I did do a little digging and i guess case had a 'big 2 plow'. this might be one of them.

Shares and stuffs like that I have not a clue. I have a suspicion they gunna be spendy or non-existent.

Next time I'm by the plow i'll snap a pic or two..... Should have taken some when I found it.

Not saying this is what it is, but this plow does use the CX16 moldboard. They call it a model "BER".

Here is a link to Messick's, Caase/IH parts page for the BER plow: (BER-SERIES) - CASE MOUNTED PLOWS Hope it works...

I also did a Google image search for a Case BER plow. There are a few decent pics, so maybe detailed enough to compare to yours.

Yer' welcome... Seems the key to finding a lot of things is a part number. That, and Google, and a rainy day to look for "stuff", LOL... Just followed a lead from another forum post from several years back, then went to Messick's/Case/IH. The Eagle Hitch part helped a lot on the image search.

Actually prefer IH's, and that's only up through 1985, when they sold out. Newest I have is a '67 IH 656, and should last me the rest of my life... Had a couple of Ag. Case's too, and now a Case 480C hoe. All from a time when they were pretty simple to work on, and a lot of repairs could actually be done in the field, if needed.

At least you now have a model number to help search for anything, if you need it.

My thanks also. I'm not sure on the plow frame as it's covered by snow right today but the coulter looks exactly as I remember it so it maybe a complete match. It would be good to get a complete set of wear parts for it.
