I am in the process of trying to come up with a subframe from Woods to bolt against the front plate of a 48 JD hoe I have acquired. I can buy a new subframe from Woods dealer for around 1100 and I think it will be a stronger setup than John Deere's.The question is can anyone tell me how wide the mount is for a 750 Woods where it bolts up to the front plate of the backhoe attachment, also how tall is the subframe where it would bolt to the front of backhoe, and what would the spacing be between subframe arms, what type of steel did they use, flatbar tubing or what.. There is the possibility that I might fabricate something my self instead of buying a mount from Woods.Any info or help that I can get will be much appreciated. Thanks

By the way the reason for this is that thr backhoe has the wrong mounts for my 4300JD so when its all said and done I will probably have mounts and front off of hoe that fit 4500,4600,4700 and i think the same xx10 series for sale

I would think that you could have a machine shop flame or plasma cut the two plates for a lot less than$1100. Have you checked to price from JD? (I believe that my 47 hoe and your 48 hoe take the same plates...) With the proper plates, you can re & re the hoe in 3-4 minutes, from the tractor seat. That alone is worth a couple hundred dollars to me.

the mount that bolts on to the front of the hoe isnt the right one for 4300 JD so if I go with woods setup I can make it all work well. the front mount on the hoe is 1800 or so
