You should also check if it is a county road. They would be required to maintain it.

Around here, the County only maintains roads that they have accepted for maintenance. Even then, they may only accept portions of roads. Problem is that out here, there are hundreds of miles of dirt county roads with little population. We see a lot of "Road not maintained" signs.

If it was my driveway I would use a grading scraper with adjustable blades and ripping teeth. Fixing it the first time might take some time but once it was fixed I could attach the GS and quickly touch the road up and keep it from getting that bad again. The box blade and rear blade would work but they would take longer. Since it's not your road I wouldn't bother with it.

you can use both a blade an boxblade.personally id use a boxblade with rippers to smooth an get the ruts out.an if its not as smooth as you want it go over it with the blade an finish smoothing it out.
