Default John Deere 3005 Tires and Wheels

I have a new John Deere 3005 2WD that came with ribbed 5.00-15 front tires and R1 ag rear tires. I will primarily use this for mowing and would like to move to turf tires. Can anyone help me determine which wheels (rims) and tires sizes I need for the 3005? I think the front turf tires for this model is 25x8.50-14 but I don't know which part number or size of wheel (rim) is needed to go with this tire. John Deere parts list 3 rims for the front alone. They don't seem to match the tires sizes well. The back tires are hard to identify as well.

    Thanks

Welcome to TBN, Plane4. Couple of suggestions. If you post your questions in the JD forum - Owning/Operating - you'll find a number of 3005 owner's there and they can give you first hand advice.

As well, does your Owner's manual list the different tire/rim combinations? Finally, why swap the front tire/rims out - unless you're working on a fairway? A lot of mowing has been done with rib tires and if your careful to keep off the grass when it's wet and the ground is too soft you should be Ok with the light weight and small frame of your 3005 tractor. The rear R1 tires are another story.

However, even with R4's on your 3005, you should be Ok. There are many owner's of 2520, 2720 and 790, 3005 tractor's who use finish mowers with R4 tires.
