Prices can be all over the place.
The bad ones are when a person is asking 150% of "new". Although perhaps saving assembly work is worth a bit.
It depends a lot on the person selling, and I guess buying too.
I usually only buy stuff if the asking price is what I want to pay. Usually I don't bargain too much, and on occasion I've even rounded the price up as a buyer!
I found a person with a want-ad asking for a very specific wheel that I had and didn't need, nor had anything that it fit on. I wrote back saying to send me an offer, and "lowballing" was OK.
I got a reply today, but without an offer. Anyway, I have no doubt that we'll come up with a price that he can't refuse, and I'll have one less tire & wheel in my way.
