Around here anything good for a reasonable price goes quickly so you have to jump as soon as you see it. The only thing I got was a Herd seeder that needed some work for cheap. Once rebuilt and painted I now have a brand new seeder for about 1/3 the cost.

That looks really nice. Any more pics of the rebuild or costs and parts involved?

I have had pretty good luck on CL. I got a Linebaugh (sp?) post hole digger for $200, a Land Pride 5' finish mower for $350, a 16" single bottom plow with coulter for $120, and a nameless rear snow blade for $100.

I only wasted my money once, on a two bottom Dearborne plow. It's not that the plow is terrible, it just doesn't seem to want to play well with my tractor. That's probably my fault and not the plows.

Mine was a mainline rear tine tiller for 80 bucks, The clutch was giving the guy problems and it took a couple days fiddleing with it but it works fine now and will come in good with our gardens, and I did not spend a dime to fix it.

I actually just sold my 42" Woods brush hog that I bought on CL for $350. I sold it, after 5 months of use, for $575! Not too bad at all...$200 profit after account for fuel to go pick it up. :)
