I bought this 6' Gannon off of Craigslist a while back and need to sell as it is too heavy (740 lbs) for my B9200. Been trying to decide whether it would be worth the time and expense of repainting for a better price. I ordered decals for it and probably should go ahead and repaint but time has become an issue and I'm short on space. The unit appears to have been originally painted a shade of white or that is white primer showing thru in places. There is some severe rust pitting on the bottom side. Would like some opinions as to how much weight you put on paint condition when looking at used equipment.

On that beast, I wouldn't care at all about the paint.

Have you considered getting industrial tires, adding ballast to the tractor, or at least weighting those turfers?

The BB shouldn't be too heavy for that tractor if you had a bit more traction to pull it.

Oh, and there was a thread on another forum (MTF) about someone rebuilding and repainting a Gannon and it too had either white or off-white paint.

I only wished you live a bit closer.
I've been on CR looking for one of those for a long time.
Looks to be in fine shape, as-is!

I personally would not paint it. I do not like to buy anything with fresh paint unless someone has done a phenominal job. I want to see what it looks like and not what someone has covered up with paint. Just my :2cents:

How much are you asking for it? You are a little ways away from me, but I have been keeping my eye out for one also.

Oh my, it looks good as it is. Exposed metal just means it ha been used and not stored.
