Box Scraper United 566HD Heavy Duty Tractor Box Blade

With a non-pto implement like a box scraper, it doesn't matter whether you hook the BB directly to the 3 point or thru a QH - so you wouldn't need to pay for the QH unless/until you added more implements to the mix. Since you're using a (much better) subframe BH, and plan to leave it on most of the time, The rest is kind of a moot point.

With what you've said, the only advantage I could see with the QH compatible BB might be resale value, and only if the buyer was planning on the QH setup.

Both those blades are light enough that a few pounds probably won't make much difference - either one will likely find you looking for more weight to hang on the back side so they'll cut (depending on soil type and condition, of course)

Your tractor shouldn't have a problem with that extra weight, IIRC it's rated for about 1400 pounds lift at 2 feet out, so 4-500 should be a piece of cake... Steve

Oh, when you get into PTO driven implements is when you'll need to decide on the QH, and do it FIRST - otherwise you may end up cutting off a PTO shaft so it will fit WITHOUT the QH, then possibly finding that it's too SHORT to get enough engagement between the inner and outer driveshafts when you add a QH. (These typically move the implement rearward about 4-6 inches)

There, now you have a START on your next research project :=)

I bought a speeco quick hitch from Blaine's fleet farm on sale for 149.95 and it was 20.50 to have it shipped to my door. Looks like a good hitch.

I've decided to go with the Everything Attachments 66" blade after speaking with them today. I don't think I'm going to rush into purchasing a Quick Hitch system until or if I acquire more 3 PH attachments in the future but it will afford me the option in the future! Thank you to everyone for your input. I'm going to pull the trigger & order it in a few weeks.

I am thinking of buying Everything Attachments XTreme Duty 66" Box Blade For Utility Tractors ,but Maine is out of their free 1000 miles delivery area. Bing Maps says I am 946 miles from them. I have been waiting 2 days on shipping cost. Think I will need to call them, instead for playing e-mail tag

They actually stated on here once that they try to let it slide if you are just barely outside of their shipping radius, hopefully you are one of the lucky ones. Good luck!

That stinks! I hope they can pull it off for you! I'm in southwestern NH. Just inside their 1000 radius by the looks of the map on their site. Good luck'

I hope so. Seen some Land Pride [15 series 72" or 60"] They seem cheaply build. Maybe the 25 series may be better.

@ Thorbee. Maybe they'd deliver it to a terminal at the 1000 limit & you could dive down to the terminal to pick it up as it sounds like you're so close to that 1000 mile radius barrier. Just a thought.

Yes, I might. I am the customer, I should not have to chase them down for a price on shipping.
