Wrooster, yes the KK is a pin/spike setup. After looking at the above link I think I need the CorePlug tine, I like how his yard looked after using that aerator.

I would highly recommend going with a core aerator. I got my brush hog core aerator off Craigslist for $600 or so.

Check out Everything Attachments, and advertiser on TBN. You are in their free shipping zone.
I got one of mine from them when they were Corriher Attachments. Can't remember the price.

Here is a John Deere 232 from eBay for $50 - it was misidentified by the seller.

Oh, and avoid the spike aerators. They end up compacting the soil.2009 Kubota M7040, R1s, LA1153 FEL, fork lift, 3 rear remotes, T&T

Re: Need to buy a Aerator, what brand?
Here's my take on it. I bought ($900 from EA) the water filled drum spiker/aerator 3 point attached. It has no parts that need servicing...just some grease on the end bearings. It pushes/digs about 2 inches into the soil, and is nearly indestructable. My 5 footer weighs about 400 lbs when filled, has it's own stand and when empty can be shoved around. It is stored outdoors on a pallet. As to compacting the soil, I couldn't see the problem since the tractor that's pulling this attachment weighs around 1500 lbs and is rountinely run all over the place. Usually I do three acres of reseeding/ fertilizing in the fall.

Re: Need to buy a Aerator, what brand?
I have a Midwest aerator that I bought used.
It works good. I thought a aerator would pull easier than what it does. I noticed with the tractor feels more tippy going across a hill and lighter in the front going up. If I was going to buy one new I would buy the EA aerator. That design should help keep the tractor more stable than one with weight added to the top. Their 4ft aerator should work good on your tractor. Xtreme Duty Lawn Aerator With Hollow Coring Tines I think a 6' may be pushing it. Also the more independent the spoons are the better it will be.
My aerator is identical to that.
