Does any one have any experiance with Mahindra or Kodiak shredders? (Kodiak makes the Mahindra) Are they worth the money and reliable. My first cut is going to be a little on the rougher side but after that it will be normal use and nothing big. I do not push my equiptment hard as I am not making a living with it and a little extra time will not effect the outcome. Any info will be welcome. Thanks.

burzynsr,

I have a 10' pull type which is larger and heavier than what your 4025 could handle. Would I buy the Mahindra/Kodiak again? Yes. Have you looked at the Kodiak web site for specs of the size your looking at.

x2. I currently have the MD60, and would buy another Kodiak. In fact, I'm trying to sell this MD60 in order to update to the MD72

Yes , I have looked at the Mahindra model and the specs on the Kodiak on line. It looks good to me and it has a 5 year gearbox warranty. The price seems good also. I can get a Tractor supply model for a couple of hundred dollars less but parts would be an issue and it looks much lighter duty. the dealer is 18 miles away and will deliver it free. Also the specs call for a "Grade 2 bolt " for the shear pin and everyone I talk to says "grade 5". I am inclined to lean toward the grade 2 for fear of tearing up something in or on the tractor. A little advice on this would also be helpful.

Follow your instinct. If you find yourself replacing too many busted GR2s, you'll know the manufacturer recommendation was optimistic. Personally, I'd go for a slip clutch model
