5320 john deere 4x4, cab, loader,, john deere 2010 crawler loader backhoe,,,165 massey ferguson, cab, loader
I have a 2010 crawler loader which came with the backhoe attatchment, the crawler itself needs a lot of work to make it reliable and useable. I am wondering if my 64hp, John Deere 5320 could handle this hoe? Would deffinatly build a subframe for it if I do. I am worried the hoe is to heavy for my tractor, all the hoes I see are built much lighter than these old ones.
Any insight would be greatly apreciated.
Has anyone mounter one of these?
Pictures would be great!!
Thanks
Brian

First thought... don't waste the time, money and energy! The hoe is a lot more "iron" than your 6,500lb tractor was designed to handle. Spend your efforts on getting the 2010 back into fighting trim.

And avoid having to repair a 2nd machine that currently doesn't need it!

Thank you, its just that the crawler is going to out of commission for a long time before I have time to work on it. I was hoping to be able to use the hoe now. If it will be that hard on the tractor I wont put it on.

I looked at the old 2010 wheeled tractor backhoe, which are only around 40 hp is the reason I considdered useing this hoe on my JD. They look much lighter than my tractor.

thanks

Those small, JD crawlers are heavy for their size. I looked up the 2010 crawler (47hp) and it's over 9,600lbs without a blade! I'd really be surprised if the hoe doesn't weigh in more than a ton. ('Cause the backhoe attachment on my JD110TLB is just over a ton.) Looking at the hoe attachments on my neighbor's JD350 and JD450 crawler's - they make my 110 look like a Tonka toy! I'd have to believe the 2010 hoe is not far off the dimensions for the hoe on a JD350.

There a more than a few stories here on TBN about folk's that have used 3pt backhoes or modified backhoes and caused themselves a whole lotta grief! Cracked or broken rear transaxle housing or in the worst case a frame break at the engine-transmission junction!

Have you ever seen the 2010 John Deere tractors? They also had these hoe's on them, Maybe they had a hefty frame built around them??

Thanks for the insight
