My mother wants a garden this year. I disked up a spot for her earlier in the year. A neighbor offered to come and make her rows but has not come through. I want to help her, but I dont know how to make raised rows. Im assuming there is a 3 pt. attachment that will do this. What is the best attachment for this job? thanks pics would be great if possible.

Yeppers, its called a Garden Bedder. You might could make your own if you can weld or know someone who welds.

Great link here
Tractor Garden Bedder, Field Bedder, Hiller

I use a toolbar and 2 disc hillers, Agri-Supply sells the hillers and while it is not a toolbar they sell a rig that they call the Kevulator that used in conjunction with the disc hillers will make a nice raised bed.

Supposed to be the best:
Plastic Mulch Layer Farming Equipment - Raised Beds :: Rain-Flo Model 2550

But it ain't cheap.

This is about as cheap as it gets:

That's a TSC 1 row cultivator with discs and shanks from Agrisupply, and u-bolts from McMaster-Carr. And the 'blue' is part of a Freightliner truck frame.

Go to the Yanmar section of this forum and look for the thread talking about garden row hillars. Quite a few home built hillers in there, some quite innovative. 1 guy mounted disc blades on an old front end off of a lawn mower tractor, I assume he got his angles right and welded it in place but it could also be built to be adjustable.

If you have a trailer mover reciever hitch (easily built) you can build a simple hiller off of a piece of tubing to slide into your hitch. Saves having to build the 3ph brackets for each implement.
