I just bought a kubota l4610 with a bradco 511 backhoe on it. The backhoe has a 12" bucket on it which I am sure will be useful for trenching and digging roots and things.
We have 41 acres in the pine barrens of south jersey and are going to be building a house on the land. Our soil is pretty much only soft sand. I think I want to get a bigger bucket for digging with, but I'm not sure what size would be most useful. I was thinking 24" but I don't know. Any thoughts or tips? This is my first backhoe and I don't really have any experience using a backhoe or mini excavator to go off of. I really just don't want to buy the wrong thing.
Also, how do I know what buckets are compatible? Do I have to buy a bradco bucket? Or are there other options?
