Tree Sheer on my John Deere

Finally, the shear won't throw anything; I'd be more concerned about someone being around an unguarded saw blade than my MX5 as far as projectiles go.

That's a really valid concern, which I've also thought about as well. I'm impressed that it works that well on a small tractor like that (relative to what you normally see a tree shear on). I'm now thinking maybe I COULD operate a shear like that. The only disadvantage I see, is not being able to use the grapple at the same time. Do they make any that go on the 3 pt hitch? It would be nice to be able to take down all those trees like you did, then turn around and dump them on a burn pile! Although for someone like you with a bad neck, I can see where this isn't an option. Do you plan on burning or chipping them?

Lastly,
How did the price compare to the Turbo Saw? (equal, a lot less, a lot more etc?)
We all want to see some more pics of it in action :D

I've found grapples take a little more finesse than just running at it and closing the thing. For me, it takes the same time to grapple an amount of trees that it does shearing those trees. I cut until what I can one day; grapple the next now.

I never looked into the price on the Turbo Saw.

Here's the only picture I took today and is about 1/4 of what I picked up.

Recently purchased Turbo Saw with rear grapple. I am amazed about how it cuts Red Cedars up to ten inches. Contrary to logic the saw does not throw chips the way I expected. Larger tress can be felled but takes cutting from several angles. Tree stumps are at ground level and very smooth following cuts. Very happy with purchase.

I drive through Crescent regularly. Tore my rotator cuff catching my FXSTDIS. It's an absolutely charming town. I ride there on occasion for dinner.
