Re: can this loader be adapted to fit a JD 855 2wd?
Welcome to TBN.
The main thing would be the length and width where it fits on the tractor. I see the hydraulic oil reservoir, but no pump.
There are some mounting brackets in the bucket, maybe the pump is there too.
Can you run it from your tractor hydraulics or do you need a pump?
The bucket pivot pins show major wear, but that can be fixed.
The front crossmember bolts on, so that would be easy to modify. The arms might have to be modified longer or shorter.
I had to lengthen the arms on my loader put together: http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/c...-together.html

Re: can this loader be adapted to fit a JD 855 2wd?
The ones that aren't available from JD anymore. I believe the Model 52, Model 70A, and Model 419 loaders will fit/work on the 855. You probably won't find the first two, but you might be able to find a Model 419. Heck, JD might even still offer it. If you can't find one of those three, then your only option is to get an aftermarket like a Koyker, or Bushhog, and there's a couple others as well. Just keep in mind that if you don't have power steering, it will be harder to turn when you have a bucket full of gravel/rock/etc.
Nothing could be finer than riding my JD790 in South Carolina!!
2001 John Deere 790 4x4 with Model 70 FEL, 5ft International World Agritech bush hog, 5ft Wallberg BB, 5ft Frontier disc harrow, Leinbach PHD with 9" & 12" augers, King Kutter II 60" Rototiller, Leinbach middlebuster, Leinbach #11 Field Cultivator, boom pole, custom 3pt handi-hitch, clamp on bucket forks, Pat's Easy Change.
Nothing runs like a Deere, or smells like a John....
