It's been 3 years since I took off the backhoe & put on the 3ph on my L3400. Now I need to get the hoe back on. So much for memory :(

I have everything off except for the lower lift arms. I removed the 12mm bolt. It appears that the bolt keeps the plate & pin in place but the plate doesn't move. . . I am hesitant to take a hammer to it. What am I missing here?

Probably the only thing you are missing is aggressiveness and a hammer - :D kidding of course.

I believe that plate is attached to the pin like the head of a nail so it won't just fall off. Expect the pin to be tight after three years. Get some penetrating oil in there then turn the pin by wacking the plate to get it loosened. Good luck.

Thanks Gordon. I just was a little chicken. Used a rubber mallet & saw the plate rotate on the pin and then knew for sure. The weight of the lift arm on the pin didn't help.

All good now
