    About your mowing needs,

There are many good mowers available.
My preference is a finish flail mower because
they are a better mower and leave finer clippings and
you can recut the clippings if they are green where
a rotary finish mower will not do that for you.

The other great feature is that a three point hitch/integral
mounted flailmower is shorter in total length than a rear
mounted rotary finish mower AND finish flail mower reduces
the chance of impacting something by 99.999999999 percent
and throwing it and having cause property damage or an inury
to 2 or 4 legged pedestrians.

I have a Land Pride FDR1660 that I pull behind my B2630. This mower does a real nice job if you mow weekly and use it as a grooming mower. If you mow infrequently than this is not the mower for you and you would be better off with the mower that leonz suggested or a rotary brush mower.

I have a Befco Cyclone RD5, 60", rear discharge finishing mower that I've used behind a B2400 for the last 14 years. Cuts and mows well. It's had a mulching kit on it almost from new. That slows down the speed you can mow at but I don't need to be mowing very fast anyway. Until last fall the only thing that it has needed has been grease, lotsa and lotsa grease. Last fall I had to replace a whole spindle and pulley assembly but it's up and running again although I really don't need it now as when it was down last fall I bought a new F2680 front mount mower. Now that's a sweet machine.

I have a Woods 7 ft pull type rear mower and think it's an excellent mower. Rear discharge. It mows smooth, no clumping and good rear distribution, mows well into short radius corners and has good blades that stay sharp. Other brands for me have not worked as well. I'd bet, however that LandPride makes a good mower but I have no experience with that. Just my two cents here.

I would second on the Woods. I have a 8 footer, built like a tank and does a great job when blades are sharp. Takes a lot of HP if you let grass get up high, at 2 foot its all my tractor can do. At 8 to 12 inches you can cover a lot of ground fast. I see you are from NC. Last year we had so much rain all I did was mow. Land pride makes good stuff also.

As leonz said, there are many good ones. I had a Bush Hog RDTH60 that I really liked, but I cannot honestly say it was any better or any worse than the other brands named above.

I have the LandPride 72" that I use behind my L3130 kubota. I agree mostly with Dozernut, but how often you mow really depends on the stuff you are mowing. One part of the pasture I mow is sub-irrigated and the grass is thick and hard to mow if it gets higher than 8-12", while another part is not sub irrigated and was as high as the rear wheels and I mowed faster and cleaner than the first part. I can move along pretty fast (at least for me) if I mow at least once per month (more often when it is growing fast in late spring)... If I get behind, I just run slower and sometimes go over it twice when it lays down (especially in tire tracks)..

As your local dealer if they rent (applied to purchase if you buy mower from them) or let you demo at your place.

    Good luck with your search..

A flail is nice but expensive. I have a Sicma rear discharge that I like because it has a formed deck with no sharp corners to catch the cut grass. Just about every other finish mower I looked at had 90 deg. corners that would plug up. The Sicma has round corners and kind of a tapered deck to the rear.
