Rim guard / beet juice
Here is the info on the juice. Weighs 10.7 to 11.3 LBS. per gal. and is good to -35 below zero. This guy is in Lansing, MI. Agri-Indutrial Sales Inc. 517-351-6470. I would think they mite be able to find a dealer in your area. Now I thought I rember someone say that this was less $$$$ than the nasty stuff?? Up here at the end of the world it cost more! This could just be our location

P.S. this stuff realy smells bad, but its non-corrosive

Re: Rim guard / beet juice
I think this is the same stuff they are testing on the roads as a preventative ice measure. Goes down before the storm, not after. I just heard on the radio this morning Michigan is going to expand the testing in our area and Indiana has been testing for a couple of years now. I like the non-corrosive aspect

Re: Rim guard / beet juice
richh,
I had my dealer put Rim Guard in my rear tires just before Thanksgiving. Don't know if I got a good price or not but I paid $125 to have it put in my rear tires on my NH TC18. My turfs are 29 x 12.00 x 15. Don't know how many gallons I got but the service guy thought that the tires now weigh over 100 lbs. each, maybe 150 lbs. I know that they weren't easy to put back on, as I took them off to have them filled. Does have more traction than before, compared 2 wheel drive before and after. Always use 4 x 4 to move snow though!
My dealer is Bates Ford Tractor in Coldwater, MI
(517) 279-9179, if anyone is close enough to check with them on prices. Coldwater is south-central Michigan, the dealer is just south of town, right off I-69 at Fenn Rd. exit, only 10 miles north of Indiana border.
