Mid-Mount Mower Deck will not raise up 4.5 inches as advertised. HELP

I have a new AMM1552 Mid-Mount Finishing mower. All specs says it has height adjustments between 1.5-4.5 inches. Right now the deck's maximum height is about 2.5 inches at deck edge or about 3 inches at the blade. I need the height that's advertised to be able to clear obstructions especially when using the FEL. Will the deck fitted on a Max 25 HST actually raise to 4.5 inches off the surface?

I believe that claim is valid only when attached to their 1816 4wd HST, and then only with OE diameter wheels/tires. When you get down to that class of machine, it's quite often a matter of matching a specific deck with a specific model. Note that the spec deck for the Max 25 itself is only advertised to a max of 4" cutting height. Given that the Max 25 is a bigger machine than the 1816, it only makes sense that the deck would by design ride closer to the ground. If you can't return the deck, the alternative would seem to be installing taller wheels/tires on the 1816.
