I found a 5' box blade for $250 it looks kind of rough and light duty. Anyone have any input as to who might have made it. Do you think it is a decent deal? I'm leaning to pass on it myself. Looks to maybe have a hinged back on it.
Thanks

Depending on what you have at home - sandblast it for $20, $10 in welding rods, a little scrap to reinforce it, and $20 for paint and you would have a nice solid new looking box blade.....

I'd pass as well.

You'll likely have another $200 in it buying rippers and having them delivered, getting the pins, etc. And the rippers are what make a BB really do its job.

No Idea who makes it, but it certainly dont look really heavy duty. No corner gussets, and no peices tying the back of the blade in with the 4x4 box tube.

Hard to say, but from the looks of it, someone most likely no longer in business. For $250 I would pass as well.

Not 100 % sure but that BB might be a early "Gannon" model. With out scarfiers , I'd pass on it also. Unless I could get it way cheaper.
