All depends here.. Early spring seems to go cheaper around $400-500 for a LD Woods. Now, its $650-750. Come almost winter and it'll be around $400 again..

Here is a few examples of what money buys in my area

    woods rotary cutter
    Rotary Cutter/Brush Hog
Bush hog brand rotary mower 6'
Befco 48" brush hog 3 point hitch cheap
    5ft brush hog

Sure, there are listings asking way more money. But it is unlikely IMO that they will sell for what they ask.

And actually, just quickly searching, this is the fewest about of bargain cutters I have seen in awhile. Wrong time of year I guess. But it dont take too much searching to find working light duty cutters for 200-300. And a few hundred more (400-500) gets good looking like new ones often.
I'm going to Ohio! They were like that around here early in the year, but now are $600 and up for pretty much 'ok' units..

Come on over. Not that far away from you. But I am suprised there isnt an abundance of deals like that in your area. You too are still part of the mid-west, and I though equipment prices were pretty similar over there

You are right, there aint much out there.

A word of advise though, to whoever is looking and to whoever is selling...

    5 keywords to use:
    Bushhog
    Bush Hog
    Brush hog
    Brushhog
    Rotary Cutter.

If you are selling, try to use them all in your ad.

IF you are buying, search them all cause you get different results with each if those posting dont use all of them key-words.

The replacement cost of the 5' brush bull in this area is $1800, that being said $750-900 is the going rate. Unless it's in real bad shape.

We love the pontoon! It is in a marina about 30 miles away, so it gets used a lot on my days off! We have the same 115 4 stroke merc. Never any problems with the motor, but I have had two pontoon leaks. The exact same weld on each pontoon....
