Wear bars and toothbars

Dana,
I won't need anything until spring, and I've got a few auctions coming up. I'll consider it. Thank you.

(I have a 73" bucket and would prefer slightly bigger, but you never know?)

John,

You know the tooth bar bolts to the side of your loader bucket and the teeth hook over the leading edge, so you need one that is the same as the bucket width. I would guess you knew that, but thought I would mention for those who had not seen one.

No, I thought it bolted to the bottom of the bucket. I saw Dana's picture and that's what it looked like. Never saw one before in the "off" position.

I have the JD 521 loader, and was looking at purchasing the manure forks for "ripping" brush while brush hogging. Not too good for digging, however. I thought Dana's would be the nuts for dual purposes. Thanks for the "minor" major detail I missed.

I have Wear bars and toothbars

I have toothbars available. They are custom made for your loader by a manufacture that make buckets & bucket attachments for some of the major companies. They can be UPS shipped . Dana bought his toothbar ftom me. It bolts to the side of the bucket. For more details , feel free to contact me at sheaftractor@coiinc.com or 815-284-3226.

I have been thinking aobut getting a toothbar. How easy are they to take on and off? There will be times when I want to put my pallet forks on and I assume I will need the toothbar off for that. I assume the toothbar would just bolt ot and all I have to do is unbolt it.

Thanks

Steve -

I like the idea of the cutting edge, but it looks like it would preclude the use of my clamp-on bucket forks.

Is there any combination of cutting edge and bucket forks that works?

Brad,
I don't have one on the tractor but I do on the skidsteer. I can take it off in about a minute. There are just two bolts that hold it on.

Wearbars for Long 4 in 1

Those of you who own the Long buckets: Is there much reason to add a wear bar, or is the existing edge just as strong.
