I just wanted to show y'all the work I have been doing on the cutter I bought a while back off of Craigslist. I have used a wire wheel and other various attachments to remove surface rust, then treated the areas and used heavy rust primer and then 3 finish coats. I still have to do the 3 point attachment pieces and wheel assembly and safety chains, they will be black. I will post again when I get done.

Looks great.

I love making old equipment look like new again.

Anytime I see a killer deal, on c-list or otherwise, I snatch it up, make it look new, and double my money pretty easily.

I am sure you would get way more than you paid for it if you ever decided to sell it

Thanks y'all, it is going to be my back-up cutter but now I am going to hate to scratch it up! I have put quite a few hours in it as I have done the bottom also. I bought new skid shoes and blades, and there will be more new bolts also. It will probably be used next year while I re-work my Landpride cutter, it needs a new stump jumper and some welding in a couple of spots. The pics I posted got out of order due to computer glitches, I hate when that happens!

Nice restoration, that will also make it last a lot longer.

Looks Great!! Almost too pretty to put back to work, Just thought I would mention however, perhaps one should hold off on the painting next time to a little calmer day; looks like you got a little overspray on your door however....LOL That is one nice looking mower!!

Cheers

Well I just about have it done, I still have to refinish the chains but somebody called and had to have something cut right of way before the city cuts it for him. My regular cutter (Landpride 2672)
Is in my shop for repairs, I am putting a new stumpjumper on it with new blades and bolts.
I was hoping that the jumper would have came in so I could have finished the Schulte but everything is running slow because of the holidays. It has been a lot of work as I have replaced bearings and seals in wheel assembly, replaced broken grease fittings, adjusted slip clutch replaced skid shoes and a variety of other stuff. It runs very smooth and cuts good.
