Default Hose routing ideas for FEL mounted attachments?

I have to run a pair of hoses from my rear remotes to a SSQA snow plow. There is plenty of space for routing from the remotes to mount for the FEL, then it gets a little more tricky on the arms. The plow has Flat-faced couplers which will reach about 3 feet up the FEL arm behind the SSQA plate. (This point changes depending on the height of the FEL, etc.) During the winter, I will disconnect at that point when I want to use the bucket.

I have a couple of routing options for the hoses on the FEL arms, but neither offer anything close to the protection of the factory set up. Also thinking of putting sheaths around the hoses (or is better to use one sheath to enclose both hoses?). Any good ideas for a clean set up? FYI- the tractor is a kubota MX5100 with LA844 FEL.

this is what i did on mine. I made a removable bracket to lock the connectors onto the lift arm. Then i made removable plates to rout the 2 hoses. nothing touches the paintHose routing ideas for FEL mounted attachments?-ready-blow-roof.jpgHose routing ideas for FEL mounted attachments?-side-brackets-3.jpgHose routing ideas for FEL mounted attachments?-side-view-blower-bracket-1.jpgHose routing ideas for FEL mounted attachments?-side-bracket-1-2.jpgHose routing ideas for FEL mounted attachments?-bracket-2-better.jpgHose routing ideas for FEL mounted attachments?-bracket-2.jpgHose routing ideas for FEL mounted attachments?-bracket-1.jpg

Thanks for the photos, that's the kind of stuff I wanted to see.
    1) Nice solution. Your cab makes routing even more interesting.
2)For your front bracket at the connectors, did you drill into the FEL elbow bracket, or was there a set of holes already in that? There is a existing hole on my arms but I hadn't quite thought of how to utilize it, now I'm getting some thoughts...
    3) I remember seeing your Quick Attach hyd blower on the Snow Removal page. Oh so nice. I saw a skid steer cutting back some huge banks several years ago in Yellowstone (actually at Old Faithful) with loader mounted blower. Blower was about 6 or 7 feet off the ground. It was like a light going on in my head. (Not to mention "no shear pins").
    4) Just wondering, do you use that same pair for the snow blade by switching from the power pack to a rear remote?

k0ua, what size hoses are those and where did you get them? That's exactly how I plan to set up my LS for a grapple.

the front bracket uses the existing holes for the grease zert retaining bracket (i simply use longer screws).

I use a different set of hoses for the front blade. It runs off of the tractors rear remotes. the blower works off a rear powered hydraulic pack. The hoses i run up to the front for the blade are run the same way as kOua's are run. these were run by my dealer, with just a few differences.
I believe the plow uses 1/2" ID hoses and the blower uses 1" ID hoses.
Any hydraulic hose shop can set you up with the hoses. just give them the length and what couplers you want. I also had a set of couplers installed at the same location as the tractors loader couplers so i could easily remove the loader without un-snaking the added hoses used for the plow. Now they just unhook like the loader hoses do.

they are 1/2 inch in NTP from surplus center. But if l had it to do over I think I would maybe use 3/8 with adaptors for your AG quick connects.

Here's a link to some pics I posted of my hose routing from the rear remotes to my grapple.

    http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/k...hst-cab-4.html

Please notice the location of the quick connector bracket on the underside of the FEL crossbar. This is a potential problem because when the bucket is tilted fully back, the back of the bucket contacts the hoses near the quick-connects, which could put some stress on them. My next modification is to re-locate the bracket to the TOP of the cross-bar instead of the bottom of it.
