Orientation does not affect how much force the cylinder develops when retracting or when extending.Just rotate the cylinder 180 degrees so the rod is towards the backhoe rather than away from it. You will need to extend the two hydraulic lines, certainly the one closest to the backhoe which is now going to be closest to the bucket. The other one should be in a similar location andyou may be able to adjust the existing line.
What difference would that make? The cylinder action is still the same.Just rotate the cylinder 180 degrees so the rod is towards the backhoe rather than away from it.
If you reverse the cylinder, it will still curl when the cylinder is retracted. Doesn't matter which way the cylinder faces.

... = Why I asked. I couldnt see any easy way to uncurl the bucket with cyl extension. Thot I must be missing the point somewhere. :confused3:What difference would that make? The cylinder action is still the same.
