UPDATE: Well, my Stihl 311 just let me down over the weekend. I added fuel and started to put the PLASTIC fuel cap back on and the lever broke off in my hand thereby rendering the saw useless. The cap wouldn't stay on without the fold-down lever. I had to break out my 24 year old Homelite 240. I would agree that Stihl would be my saw of choice, but I was able to get an Echo CS370 for $220, which I thought was a good deal considering I use a chainsaw maybe 1 -2 times a year. But, like many of us, when I need it, I need it. I like the Echo, but then, I replaced my first saw, a Poulan, with it, so go figure. I always run the fuel out of the carb, which is what a Stihl mechanic told me would help avoid crappy gas issues- his biggest complaint, and source of most of his work.
