I am looking to rent a true root-rake style grapple for skid-steer. I am located in Lowndes county, Alabama. Does anyone around have one they would rent for about a month.

For as much as it would cost to rent a grapple for a month, jus buy one! Pallet Forks has them pretty reasonable and they have free shipping! Just a thought. If you don't need a grapple after you are done put it on craigs list and sell it you shouldn't have any problem getting more that half of the original cost back because no one seems to ever sell used grapples.

On the contrary, a quick craigslist search will find numerous front end loader grapples for sale. I see them all the time used. If I were you, I would buy a used one with the intention of selling it for the same price you bought it for in one month from now, then after using it realize you don't know how you ever got along without it all these years and keep it until you are no longer physically able to climb up onto your tractor anymore.

Well I am so glad you have many of them listed around where you live, but where I live craigs list has none the only listing is for a new grapple and that is the way it has been for ever. I guess it all depends where you live.

The Rake style are not nearly as common as the L bottom style. I have both and use them differently. What is it about the Rake style that you intend to use it for?
