Post a photo of your ballast. Im using a box blade with suitcase weights, and when I need to go big I put a slice of a millstone on.

BX with a custom weight bracket and 5 weights.

L4240 with a Woods HBL84. I am going to make a 1000-1200lbs counterweight someday for it.

For my JD 790, I use a JD ballast box I got of CL, filled to 620 lbs. of scrap iron, including the RR rail runners & receiver tube bolted to the bottom. Chainsaw sleeve & tool holders added to the outside. ~~ grnspot

I use my back blade. Its a Land Pride 3596 - plenty heavy and doesn't extend out back too far.View attachment 342521

I use these old scrapped actuator end caps - my son welded couple of brackets for me and milled slots in the smaller end caps in the bottom to make it a nice package. I use it most of the summer months. Great for moving trailers and boats around, great visibility to the ball. Loader work made easy and with a small utility trailer, the perfect combination.IMG_0806.jpg
